La Forge de Ste Marie
Joinville, Champagne
Parc opens: 07 May - 03 Sep
site description
Part of the excellent 'Castels' group, this parc is ideal for overnight stops and longer stays alike. In either case, you are assured of a warm welcome. Lying amidst the unspoilt forests and rolling meadows of the Haute-Marne region of Champagne, the parc's full range of modern facilities are housed within a beautifully converted 17th century forge building. These include a heated indoor pool as well as all the sports facilities you could ask for. In high season, the English speaking owners organise an extensive entertainment programme, with activities for children and adults alike. Most customers who come here also take full advantage of the terrace bar, where you can have a drink or a meal overlooking the parc's own small fishing river. You can also try a spot of trout fishing on the parc's own lake. La Forge is also just four hours drive from Calais.
