A peaceful, but simple parc, ideally suited to young families and couples, with a lovely beach facing famous Fort Boyard. While the island itself can have busy traffic, the parc is located in a quiet area of St. Georges D'Oléron, with good access to the many cyclist-only roads that run around the island. The 'Plaisance' beach offers a broad sweep of golden sand and the unusual sight of Fort Boyard close by. Out and about, you are just 1km from the Saumonards forest, and you will find the town itself to be a quaint little place, dedicated to the fishing and oyster industry. Domaine D'Oléron is ideal for those families who intend to visit attractions off parc during their stay, with many beautiful beaches in easy reach. The small bar and takeaway service are situated in a poolside marquee.

Musee Ernest Cognacq
The Hôtel de Clerjotte houses the most beautiful civil architecture of Île de Ré - the museum Ernest Cognacq - which is extending and modernising. From 2007, the renovated museum will offer a new museographic approach of the works of the great military engineer Vauban. Exhibition and conference rooms, documentation centre, educational service and bookshop will be open to the public.

Bird and nature reserve with over 250 species - guided tours are possible.
Brandy distilleries
Visit the cognac distilleries of Martell and Hennessy. Most of the distilleries offer a tour explaining the process plus a free tasting.

Le Petit Train de Saint Trojan
Le Petit Train de St Trojan is a 12 km round trip through the surrounding countryside. In summer, there are special routes where you can view the sun rising over the horizon. Trains depart every 45 minutes in high season.
