La Coccinelle Zoo with more than 800 animals from over 50 species. There is a small farm section to allow children to touch and feed the animals. There are many other attractions such as trains and rides for the children Zoo de Bassin d'Arcachon One of the largest zoos in France with many different species in their natural environment. The zoo has the largest bear enclosure in Europe. There is also a little tourist train and bouncy castles for entertainment Ecomusée de La Grande Lande This museum is situated in a natural park and gives an insight into how life was in the region over the past centuries. There is a steam train for visitors and a range of activities to practise traditional skills and crafts Parc Ornithalogique du Teich Situated in the "bassin d'Arcachon", this area is an indispensable stop for migratory birds travelling between Africa and Greenland. With over 80 species of birds all year and a further 180 migratory species taking refuge, rest and feeding time. There are plenty of observation points to view the birds. |
